Learning Outcomes

General competencies

-aims and objectives :
To give a basic training with regard to electric installations and concepts concerning electric energy distribution and application. Have an idia of the design of wiring systems in agreement with safety requirements

-exam requirements :
The students have to obtain the basics needed for the application of electric installation as an unspecialized engineer.  Moreover they have to understand the basics to deal with theoretical aspects and to solve easy practical problems.
Have an idea of the design of low voltage wiring systems in agreement with safety requirements

This course contributes to the following programme outcomes of the Bachelor in Engineering Sciences:

The Bachelor in Engineering Sciences has a broad fundamental knowledge and understanding of
1. scientific principles and methodology of exact sciences with the specificity of their application to engineering;
3. integrated design methods according to customer and user needs with the ability to apply and integrate knowledge and understanding of other engineering disciplines to support the own specialisation engineering one;

The Bachelor in Engineering Sciences can
8. apply an horizontal broadening and vertical deepening of the discipline within a continuously changing society and industrial context, in a multi-disciplinary environment;
9. use and evaluate information of technical literature and other information sources;

The Bachelor in Engineering Sciences has
18. acquired the tools for knowledge collection towards life-long learning;
19. The Bachelor in Engineering Sciences has more advanced fundamental knowledge and understanding of electronics and information technology from the component up to the system level and can apply this knowledge to solve basic engineering problems.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Other Exam determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Examen with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

    Note: Examenmoment 1ste zittijd:

Additional info regarding evaluation

1st and 2nd session: Written examen 100% (on lectures and exercises).

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
