This concerns a reading course concerning a to be chosen topic of specialisation in an area in which the department has expertise, and which does not fit within the existing course portfolio. The content is determined by the student together with any one of the members of the department in this area of specialisation.

The student can distinguish between the levels of relevancy of the different parts of the subject.
The student can prepare independently presentations concerning this subject.
The student can present the subject in a comprehensible manner to a general mathematical audience.

The exam consists of permanent evaluation, whereby the student gives several seminars concerning the chosen topic and demonstrates his (accruing) knowledge concerning this topic. The seminars are interactive, and are complemented by discussion moments. One of the seminars can be replaced by writing a project proposal in light of the chosen subject. The precise agreements concerning the assignment(s) and evaluation will be communicated to the student each year through canvas.
