Course Content

In this course, a philosophical reflection is developed about some important aspects of the economy as a social reality and practice, such as the (dis)functioning of markets, the role and meaning of money, economic (in)equality, and business ethics. Next to that, also the methodological limits of economics as a scientific domain are discussed.

Additional info regarding evaluation

In the course of the semester an individual paper is being prepared. The oral exam is based on a discussion of the evaluation thereof. Relevant aspects of both the course material and the group discussions can be touched upon as well.
