Course Content

During the theoretical sessions of this course, you will be introduced to population dynamics (e.g. geographic versus ecological distance), conservation genetics and hybrid zones (e.g. unimodal versus bimodal hybrid zones).  These topics are taught with European amphibians as study objects.

During practical courses, you will learn to work with several specialized software programs (e.g. EasyPop, Fstat, Geneclass, NewHybrids) by doing exercises on population dynamics. You will also learn to analyze the power of a data set using tools provided on www.congressgenetics.eu
