Course Content

The course consists of two main parts.

The first part focuses on the general principles of insurance law. To this end attention is primarily devoted to the Insurance Act of 4 April 2014, which is of paramount importance as it applies to all types of insurance contracts, including those which are specifically regulated.  Particular emphasis is on the importance of the classification into assets insurance, liability insurance and personal insurance, since the law provides specific sets of rules for each of these categories.

The second part of the course deals with the most common specifically regulated insurance contracts: fire insurance, family liability insurance, car insurance, life insurance and legal protection insurance. Furthermore attention is given to the insurance of industrial risks and transport.
