Enrolling for this plan is also possible having completed the Preparatory Programme Master of Arts in Linguistics and Literary Studies.
Enrolling for this plan is also possible having completed the Bachelor of Linguistics and LiteraryStudies.
In order to complete the master’s programme (60 ECTS), students need to take:
1. Compulsory courses (24 ECTS): The master's thesis (18 ECTS), Research methodology (3 ECTS) and “Linguistics and Literary Studies in Brussels” (3 ECTS).
2. Language-related courses (12 ECTS): Students choose 6 ECTS in their first selected language, and 6 ECTS in their second selected language.
3. Profile-related courses (24 ECTS): Students choose the courses in their selected profile.
Within your profile, you can also choose from a special list of ULB courses (Max. 1 course, 6 ECTS)

The deadline is September 30 for courses of the first semester and February 15 for courses of the second semester.
The following courses are all compulsory. You should only register for the master thesis and research methodology course at the end of your program, when you are able to graduate. You are strongly advised to register the master thesis and the research methodology course together in the same academic year.
From the courses listed below, students must obtain 24 ECTS credits.

You can choose elective courses for a total of 36 ECTS. You choose at least 6 ECTS in your first selected language, and at least 6 ECTS in your second selected language.
