Course Content

The course explores advanced theories, practices and/or methods in the domain of urban studies. Within this broad domain, precise topics and foci can differ each year and are proposed by the course coordinator, by the programme's associated partners, or by external partners in the form of international workshops, summer schools or master classes (in Brussels, Belgium or abroad).

In order to be admitted to this course unit, students need to get approval from the coordinators of the MSc Urban Studies. Students are allowed to register for this course following this approval only.

Within the Other Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Other exam with a relative weight of 1 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

If the seminar is organized at the VUB, the VUB course coordinator is directly involved in the grading and the regular VUB rules are followed. If the seminar is organized at a partner institution or by external partners, the grade is transferred to the VUB taking into account the rules of international equivalence of grading systems.
