- Course Content
The overall purpose of this course is to introduce students to the theories and research in social psychology as it relates to human communication. The course will present an overview of theories and approaches as well as of problems in this area. Also, applications to diverse communication practices will be dealt with. The first part will present an overview of classical social psychology approaches to verbal and non-verbal communication. The second part will introduce novel approaches to the study of communication, inspired by the social constructionism and ‘discursive apporach’.

Knowledge outcomes:
- to provide students with knowledge of classical and recent social psychological approaches to the study of human communication;
- to provide students with knowledge of how to approach the study of human communication using basic social psychological theories and techniques.

- ability to research, prepare and deliver an overview of a topic area realted to the social psychology of communication;
