Students develop their oral and written skills in several specific contexts (academic, business, tourism, etc). In the course 'Español para fines específicos' students work with the Spanish language and special attention is paid to grammatical aspects that are especially important for their writing skills. Special attention will be paid to the use of the Subjuntivo, Tiempos del pasado and Ser and Estar. Students will develop their written and oral skills within a number of communicative contexts (academic, business communication, tourism...).
- The student is able to independently produce a short academic text in Spanish.
- The student knows where to find help to solve text problems
- The student can build up an argumentation in Spanish and can communicate orally or in writing in a structured and coherent way.
The aim of this course is to acquire an initial knowledge of academic Spanish in order to prepare the student for the written treatment of the research domains in the academic disciplines of the Bachelor and Master Programmes.
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 75% of the final mark.
Other Exam determines 25% of the final mark.
