Offer 1 with catalog number 4018704FNR for all students in the 1st and 2nd semester at a (F) Master - specialised level.
This course will be organised through block teaching as the start-up of a business is the central idea of the course. Block teaching is suitable because students can first acquire knowledge and insight into the different elements of a business plan and subsequently apply these elements to their own business. Guest speakers will be invited when possible to elaborate upon specific elements of sport business. The development of the business plan will be done in groups (maximum 4 students per group), which will be done conceptually as well as operationally. The elements that should be included in the sport business plan are discussed during the course and include, among others, the business model canvas, the chosen form of business, the mission, vision and organisational chart of the company, an environmental analysis, a commercial and financial plan, and so on. The business plan will be submitted in written format and will be orally presented in presence of all students (compulsory attendance) and possibly guest speakers or relevant individuals from the field. This course is organised in cooperation with Vlajo.
The costs regarding this course are borne by the student and can neither be passed on to fellow students nor recovered from the lecturer or faculty.
