Course Content

Students can use the knowledge and skills they acquired in the course “Domain-Oriented Practice 1” in concrete situations. They also learn to deal with an important journalism theme: the deadline. In groups of max. 10 students, they make a news broadcast for radio and television. For radio that means a one-hour news and general interest programme; for television a complete 15-minute news broadcast. They run through the whole production process (from news and information gathering (research), information acquisition and searching for discussion partners, to recording, editing, writing texts and reading them in). Everything is made in one day. The finished products are evaluated critically by lecturers and students. The student’s attitude is important (can he/she deal with criticism and can he/she work in a group).
