Course Content

[Text revision] Students apply the knowledge acquired in language and journalism courses to a number of general texts, including their own texts and those of fellow students. They learn to use the common correction marks and to use the revision function in MS Word.
[Final editing] How do you make readers willing to start reading a specific article? How do you make them eager to read it till the end?  That is the daily challenge for copy editors. Because final editing is so much more than correcting language errors. In the lessons we present and practice some do's and dont's for good titles and intro's, we show how articles can be improved creatively with photo's and infographics and we pay attention to the whole page lay-out. Everything is illustrated with a lot of examples of good and especially bad practices.
