- Course Content
The notary is a public servant. The regulations upon which his work is carried out is governed by an organic law. This course subject is primarily devoted to the study of this law, in particular filling the post of notary public and the legal prescriptions of carrying out this role. However, relevant legislation at supranational level is also covered. In this course subject, special attention is paid to drawing up deeds. A practical approach to bookkeeping techniques is also covered. In conclusion, setting up notary institutions, in particular associations and the National Association of Notaries is addressed.

- has an extensive, ready and in-depth knowledge of and insight into the entry and exercise of the notarial profession and the organisation thereof.
- can independently draw up notarial deeds, taking into account the mandatory rules of the Notaries Act.
- has the reflex to test legal questions and factual situations submitted to him against the Notaries Act, but also, where applicable, against the rules of supranational law.
- knows the specific legal and regulatory standards pertaining to the notarial profession, including those concerning monetary transactions and accounting obligations incumbent on notaries and can apply these rules.
- shows a critical and reflective approach to the practice of notarial law, in particular with regard to the access and the exercise of the notarial profession.
