Learning Outcomes

General competencies

The student is able to:

- conduct scientific assessment in a chosen casus
- write a report of the assessment and propose an evidence-based intervention

- draw up an individual education program (IEP)/treatment plan

- evaluate this IEP/treatment plan

- substantiate the IEP/treatment plan on 3 levels (indication, theoretically and the 5 B's)

The student is able to:

- talk with a (maltreating) parent about the maltreatment

- motivate a (maltreating) parent to accept counseling concerning the maltreatment

- see the limitations of voluntary care

- The student knows the model of Non-Violent Resistance and has insight in the step-by-step instruction manual for parents and the domains of intervention.

- The student is able to carry out some Non-violent Resistant actions

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
PRAC Presentation determines 25% of the final mark.
SELF Paper determines 75% of the final mark.

Within the PRAC Presentation category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Presentation with a relative weight of 25 which comprises 25% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Paper category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Written report with a relative weight of 75 which comprises 75% of the final mark.
