Practice:

Develop an exercise plan, create a knowledge clip and critically reflect on the use of a sport-plus approach from different domains

The practical assignment is worked out in group and contains the following sub-assignments:

• Part A: Developing an exercise plan - Content for 3 sessions of 60 min.

• Part B: Structured critical reflection from 4 different domains

• Part C: Make a knowledge clip about the components and characteristics of your sport-plus approach

Learning Outcomes

General competencies

Specific learning outcomes:

The aim of this course is to provide insight to the student in the possibilities of the use of sport and movement as a means of movement agogics and in the different aspects of the movement agogical practice. Afterwards, a student must be able to:

-formulate their own opinion on the social meaning of movement activities
-describe the most important principles of the movement agogical process
-describe the importance of movement in the agogical work
-name and describe the typical aspects, situations, special meanings and methodical approaches of the movement agogical practice among a number of specific target groups
-evaluate a movement agogical process.

General learning outcomes:

The student:

-Has an insight into the structure, (stages of) development and functioning of humans in various age groups in order to understand the risks of an unhealthy lifestyle and promote the importance of movement (scientist, promoter & adviser)
-Is able to provide guidance to a healthy individual on the basis of sound scientific guidance and/or training schedules (scientist, promoter & adviser, educator & coach)
-Is able to assess his/her own competence profile against practice in the field of work and the available study programmes, and to reflect critically on him/herself and others (professional innovator)
-Has knowledge of pedagogical principles, including diversity (educator & coach)
-Is able to organise him/herself efficiently and effectively (manager)

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 60% of the final mark.
PRAC Presentation determines 40% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 60 which comprises 60% of the final mark.

Within the PRAC Presentation category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Presentatie with a relative weight of 40 which comprises 40% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

Theory: written evaluation of the course material that has been provided during theory class (60%)

Practice: External evaluation based on the presentation of the results of the practical assignment (40%). The assessment consists of following assignment categories:

1. The group work determines 75% of the final grade the practical assignment.

2. The evaluation of fellow students within their own working group (via peer assessment in canvas) has a weighting factor of 25 and thus determines 25% of the final mark for the practical assignment.

Group work (75%) and evaluation of fellow students (25%) together determine 40% of the total final mark for this course.

Additional information
The total score of the student in the workgroup is not necessarily equal for all group members. The individual grade is contingent on correction by peer evaluation.
The student must have participated in all parts of the exam - if not, this one gets one 'absent' on the score sheet.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
