Inhoud

The course is organised according to the principles of Community Engaged Research and Learning. A project in cooperation with an external partner organisation provides the starting point for learning and leads to the application of the acquired knowledge.

Through a case-based approach a complex practical problem is analysed from an inter/transdisciplinary perspective for which solutions are designed considering all aspects of the problem and the preconditions of the given practical context. The work contains sufficient theoretical underpinnings and concrete explanation so that it can be implemented by an external partner organisation.

Toelichting: Paper and presentation to an audience of experts from the field (in group with compulsory peer assessment)

Binnen de categorie Andere dient men volgende opdrachten af te werken:

Aanvullende info mbt evaluatie

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:

  • -       Practical Exam (80%): Academic paper and presentation to an audience of experts from the field (in project-group with compulsory peer assessment).
  •         Permanent Evaluation (20%) during the semester via multiple choice test about the online learning modules and working sessions (individual).

Students must get 10/20 on every one of the course parts to succeed for the course. If you get a failing grade for one of the two parts, you will receive the lowest partial grade as the final grade. The partial grade for which you succeeded in the first session can be transferred to the second session and you will not have to take up this course part again.

In the second exam period, the paper of the project proposal is replaced by an individual assignment according to the same requirements of the first exam period (details on procedure available on the Canvas Course platform).

The student's overall grade for the group work is not necessarily the same for all group members. The individual grade depends on a correction by peer evaluation where individual contribution is evaluated and also depends on the interactions with the partner organisation and teaching team.

The multiple-choice evaluation will be scored by positive scoring with Higher Pass Marking.

If you are absent for at least one part, you will be awarded an "Absent" as an overall grade for the Programme Part. If you do not submit one of the assignments, you will be "Absent" for the assignments section.

The partial results of the separate course parts are not transferable to the next academic year.
