Course Content

The clinical internships aim for the development of:




  • General competencies regarding professional knowledge (patient care, communication related to patinet care and technical skills) and attitude.


  • Specific discipline-related competencies.


These competencies and the organisation of the clinical internships are  described in detail in the “Regeling van de klinische stages artsopleiding” .

The underlying principle is a progressive growth curve: in the first year of internships (2nd master year) the student develops the necessary competencies to perform an adequate patient history and clinical exam to form a substantiated differential diagnosis.

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
SELF Internship determines 100% of the final mark.

Within the SELF Internship category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • klinische stage with a relative weight of 100 which comprises 100% of the final mark.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark

Academic context
