Offer 1 with catalog number 4018332ENR for all students in the 2nd semester at a (E) Master - advanced level.
This course can exist (but is not limited to) out of a session sustainability in sports and physical activity, rugby, a session nature sports (Kayak, rowing and orientation run), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to illustrate school grappling, Tchoukball, hockey, sport for people with a handicap, and can possibly be refilled with other sessions. Basics of these sports will be educated.
Work out a written seminar on a self chosen sports or physical activity. Describe how this sport or physical activity is impacting one or more of the identified planetary boundaries. This work will be evaluated based on 1) analysis of the current situation and rationale for choosing one or more planetary boundaries, use of scientific literature and correct way of referencing, critical thoughts on the proposed solution with possible strenghts and limitations.
Cours material can be found on the learning platform, depending on the sports included.
Students have knowledge of
- Basic techniques of not everyday sports
- Rules of these sports
- Possible application of these sports in different target groups
Students are able to
- Perform the basic movements of these sports
- Initiate pupils in a school in these sports
- Implement these sporst in movement programs in different target groups.
Students have the attitude to
- promote a healthy and sportive lifestyle
- practice these sports on a regular and voluntary basis and maintain and improve their own basic condition
- learn with an open mind and eager to learn mentality and accept criticism and corrections
- to learn from their own mistakes, learn to self detect them and specifically work on them.
- help others by making one's own proven specialties available
- communicate in a polite and exemplary way with the accent on evaluation and bad news conversations.

- use a critical scientific mentality to constantly dare to put question marks to yourself and to the acquired/used technical, tactical, methodic, didactic principles
The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
PRAC Practical Assignment determines 75% of the final mark.

For all classes presence is obliged. If you have more than one invalid absence, you cannot participate to the exam in both exam periods and you will be given a score of 0/20 in both exam periods.
Scores are calculated as follows:
25% on positive attitude during classes: be on time, cooperate, show effort.
75% on seminar paper (deadline for handing in on the first day of the exam period).
if 'other' or the paper is scored less than 8/20, this will become the final score.
Scores of 10/20 will be transferred to the second exam period,as well as the next academic year.
