Course Content

After analysis of the different international guidelines for advanced practitioners and specific groups, different aspects of these position stands are put in practice. Elaboration of a weight reduction program according to international guidelines.
Elaboration of different resistance training programs  according to international guidelines
A group assignment of which details are explained on the learning platform.

Moreover, specific items such as fitness for elderly, obese people, osteoporosis, functional testing, core stability are discussed.

In depth attention for injury prevention and health.

General competencies

Grading

The final grade is composed based on the following categories:
Written Exam determines 50% of the final mark.
Practical Exam determines 40% of the final mark.
PRAC Presentation determines 10% of the final mark.

Within the Written Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • Schriftelijk examen with a relative weight of 50 which comprises 50% of the final mark.

    Note: Schriftelijk examen in verband met de theoretische achtergrond.

Within the Practical Exam category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • praktijkexamen with a relative weight of 35 which comprises 40% of the final mark.

    Note: Mondeling examen in verband met de theoretische achtergrond en praktijkwerk

Within the PRAC Presentation category, the following assignments need to be completed:

  • opdracht uitwerken with a relative weight of 15 which comprises 10% of the final mark.

Additional info regarding evaluation

For all practical sessions presence is obliged. In case of more than 20% invalid absences, you will be refused to participate to the exams in both the  first and second exam period and you will get a score of 0/20 in both exam periods.

No partial exemptions.

Subscores won't be adjusted before calculating the total score.

In case the student scores lower than 8/20 on one part , no mean score will be calculated and the lowest score will become the total score.

Scores of 10/20 or higher are transferred to the second exam period. Subscores are not transferred to the next academic year.

Allowed unsatisfactory mark
The supplementary Teaching and Examination Regulations of your faculty stipulate whether an allowed unsatisfactory mark for this programme unit is permitted.
